Kendra Kiser. Photographed by Josiah Bice.
Both photography and writing have been parts of my life for as long as I can remember. At the age of seven I stole my mom’s camera and I never gave it back — sorry mom. Growing up, I wrote little books for my younger siblings as they were learning how to read which I leveraged in high school by forcing them to model for me. When I was 15, I second-shot my first wedding and immediately fell in love with preserving the unforgettable chaos, emotional depth, and vulnerability of relationships present on a wedding day. As of now, I have photographed over 250 weddings and am currently seeking a publisher for my first completed book.
My photography and writing reflect intuitive and responsive storytelling by capturing the gravity of the human experience. I believe there is space for growth, tenderness, strength, humor, and warmth even in the quiet or difficult moments. My work is meant to feel bittersweet, meaningful, and lasting—reminders that our lives matter.
My values:
Honesty over performance.
Presence over perfection.
Comfort over pressure.
Context, history, and legacy over trends.
I tell stories and capture the spectrum of human emotion through imagery and words.
“KENDRA
WAS the perfect fit for us.
Every image feels like an authentic reflection of how the day felt; now just how it looked. Her eye for detail, ability to read the room, and talent for finding beauty in candid moments made our gallery feel both timeless and deeply personal.
The entire process was effortless. Kendra and her team were flexible with out weekend schedule, seamlessly navigating shifting timelines and capturing every meaningful moment without ever feeling intrusive.
We are endlessly grateful to have had Kendra document our wedding. Her artistry gave us a collection of images that we will cherish for a lifetime, and that beautifully tell the story of our day.”
